Who We Are

This website is operated by Shefferized Gaming LLC ("Shefferized"), the developer and publisher of Kings on the Corner.

For purposes of applicable privacy laws, Shefferized is responsible for personal information collected directly through the website and Kings on the Corner.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Shefferized collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you visit shefferized.com, contact us by email, create or use a Kings on the Corner account, use online multiplayer features, view advertising in the game, or make purchases through a supported app store.

Kings on the Corner may be distributed through Google Play and other supported platforms. Third-party platforms and services operate under their own privacy policies and practices, and we encourage you to review those policies when using their services.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Information You Provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Your name or display name
  • Your email address
  • Messages, support requests, bug reports, feedback, and feature suggestions
  • Information included in an account-deletion or privacy request

We use this information to communicate with you, provide customer support, investigate technical problems, respond to privacy requests, and improve the website and game.

Account and Authentication Information

Kings on the Corner has user accounts. When you create or use an account, we may collect or receive:

  • A unique account or user identifier
  • Your email address
  • Your display name
  • Authentication status and related security information
  • We do not collect or store profile photos from Google or other authentication providers. Any avatar displayed within Kings on the Corner is selected from our own in-game cosmetic artwork and is never derived from your personal photos.

Authentication and account services may be provided through Google Firebase or other services disclosed in this policy. We do not receive your Google password.

We use account information to authenticate users, protect accounts, save game data, provide multiplayer features, restore purchases, respond to support requests, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Gameplay and Multiplayer Data

When you use the game, we may collect and store:

  • Player identifiers and display names
  • Friend lists, friend requests, and match invitations
  • Match history, wins, losses, rankings, and gameplay statistics
  • Cosmetic items owned or equipped
  • Achievements, progression, preferences, and settings
  • Technical information needed to create and maintain multiplayer sessions

We use this data to operate the game, maintain accounts, provide multiplayer and social features, calculate rankings, prevent cheating and abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve gameplay.

Purchase and Entitlement Information

Purchases may be processed by Google Play or another authorized platform. We generally do not receive complete payment-card information. We may receive:

  • The product purchased
  • A purchase token or transaction identifier
  • Purchase date and status
  • Storefront country or region
  • Refund, cancellation, or chargeback status
  • The permanent entitlement associated with the purchase

We use this information to verify purchases, unlock or restore paid features and cosmetics, prevent fraud, and maintain legally required business and tax records.

Technical and Device Information

The website, game, hosting provider, Firebase, advertising provider, or app store may automatically process:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type, operating system, and language settings
  • App version and device or app-instance identifiers
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address
  • Pages viewed, referring page, and date and time of access

We use technical information to operate and secure the services, detect fraud or abuse, diagnose errors, maintain compatibility, deliver advertising, and improve performance.

Sensitive Personal Data

We do not intentionally collect health information, precise location, financial account credentials, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the website or game. Please do not send sensitive information by email unless it is necessary for a specific support or legal request.

Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on:

  • Performance of a contract, when processing is necessary to provide the website, game, account, multiplayer, purchase, or support service you request

Comments

The website does not currently provide public comments. We therefore do not collect personal information through website comments.

Media

Public visitors cannot upload media files to the website. Files submitted directly by email may contain metadata. Do not send files containing sensitive or embedded location information unless necessary.

Contact

The only contact method currently offered is email. When you email prs@shefferized.com, we receive your email address, message content, attachments, and related email metadata. We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, investigate problems, and maintain appropriate business records.

Support and contact emails are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or a continuing business relationship. Contact information is not used for marketing unless you separately request or consent to it.

Player Communications

We may contact you regarding your account or use of Kings on the Corner when reasonably necessary to operate the game or comply with legal obligations. These communications may include:

  • Account verification or security notifications
  • Password or authentication assistance
  • Purchase confirmations and transaction notices
  • Responses to support requests
  • Important updates affecting gameplay or online services
  • Scheduled maintenance or service interruptions
  • Changes to this Privacy Policy or other legal terms when required

These communications are considered service-related and may be sent even if you have opted out of marketing communications where permitted by law. Shefferized does not currently send promotional or marketing emails unless you have separately requested or consented to receive them where required by applicable law.

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for security, site preferences, and basic operation. Because the website does not use third-party analytics, it does not place third-party analytics cookies on our behalf.

The game and its advertising provider may use device identifiers, local storage, software-development kits, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, limit, secure, and personalize or contextualize advertising as allowed by your choices and applicable law.

You may control website cookies through your browser. Where legally required, the game will present privacy or consent choices for advertising technologies.

Analytics

Shefferized does not currently use a third-party analytics package on shefferized.com. Our web host may maintain ordinary server and security logs, such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information, and error records, to operate and protect the website.

Advertising

Shefferized does not currently use or disclose personal information for targeted advertising. If our advertising practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain any necessary user consent before implementing those changes.

Kings on the Corner will display advertising through Google AdMob. The advertising provider may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, advertising interactions, app information, and diagnostic data to deliver, limit, secure, measure, and report advertisements.

Unless and until Shefferized enables personalized advertising and obtains any legally required consent, ads should be configured as contextual or non-personalized where required. If personalized advertising is enabled later, this policy and the game's consent controls will be updated before that change is deployed. Advertising providers operate under their own privacy policies.

Who We Share Your Data With

We may share or make information available to the following categories of recipients:

  • Google Firebase, for authentication, cloud database, backend, security, and related game services
  • Google Play, for app distribution, account-linked services, purchases, refunds, fraud prevention, and compliance
  • Google AdMob, for serving, securing, limiting, measuring, and reporting in-game advertisements
  • Our website host and email provider, for hosting, security, backups, server logs, and email delivery
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, attorneys, and insurers when reasonably necessary
  • Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or government authorities when disclosure is legally required
  • A purchaser or successor if the business or relevant assets are sold, merged, reorganized, or transferred, subject to appropriate safeguards

We do not sell personal information for money.

How Long We Retain Your Data

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary. Typical periods are:

  • Account data: while the account remains active and for a limited period afterward to complete deletion, resolve disputes, or protect the service
  • Gameplay and multiplayer records: while needed for gameplay, rankings, moderation, fraud prevention, account restoration, and support
  • Purchase and entitlement records: for the life of the account and as needed to restore purchases or meet legal obligations
  • Contact and support emails: generally up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction
  • Financial and tax records: generally seven years, or longer if required by law
  • Security, server, and diagnostic logs: generally 30 to 180 days, unless needed longer to investigate a security or abuse incident
  • Advertising records: according to the advertising provider's settings, policies, and applicable law
  • Backups: until overwritten or deleted under normal backup schedules

When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information or account
  • Request a portable copy of certain information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for purchases, fraud prevention, security, taxes, legal compliance, or legal claims.

Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Kings on the Corner account and associated personal data through the in-game account-deletion option, when available, or through our Account & Data Deletion page.

Deleting an account may remove the player profile, multiplayer identifiers, friend relationships, gameplay history, cloud-saved progression, and stored preferences. Purchase, fraud-prevention, security, tax, and legal records may be retained where necessary. Purchases and refunds remain subject to Google Play's policies.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Shefferized is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, international transfers are protected by recognized legal safeguards such as adequacy decisions, data-processing agreements, and Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children's Privacy

The website and game are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law to consent to online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the applicable minimum age without legally valid parental consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information improperly should contact prs@shefferized.com.

How We Protect Your Data

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards, which may include:

  • Encryption in transit
  • Access controls and least-privilege permissions
  • Multi-factor authentication for administrative accounts
  • Secure authentication services
  • Database security rules

  • Backups and service monitoring
  • Purchase verification through trusted platforms

No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breach Procedures

If we discover a suspected personal-data breach, we will investigate and contain it, determine what information and users may be affected, preserve relevant records, correct or mitigate the issue, and notify affected users or authorities when required by law. What Third Parties We Receive Data From

We may receive information from:

  • Google or another authentication provider, such as account identifiers and authentication status
  • Google Play, such as purchase, refund, storefront, and entitlement information
  • Firebase, such as authentication, database, backend, security, and diagnostic information
  • Google AdMob, such as advertisement-delivery, consent, fraud, and performance information
  • Other players, when they send friend requests, invitations, or reports

We use this information only for the purposes described in this policy.

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We do not currently use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Automated systems may assist with matchmaking, rankings, and advertisement delivery. Significant enforcement actions may be reviewed by a person where appropriate.

Industry Regulatory Disclosures

Shefferized is not currently identified as operating in a specially regulated industry requiring additional industry-specific privacy disclosures. This section may be updated if the business or services change.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the website, game, advertising setup, service providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes may be announced on the website, in the game, by email, or by changing the effective date at the top of this policy.
